The Challenge
A biopharma sponsor's global Phase III program required three products, each with different temperature needs: a 2–8°C biologic IMP, an ambient comparator needing blinding-compliant repackaging, and frozen ancillaries needing -20°C storage.
Under the client's previous model, three separate vendors managed these streams, leaving site pharmacists juggling three deliveries and three schedules for one patient visit, with no single vendor owning the outcome when something went wrong.
Our Approach
To meet this challenge, Tanner consolidated all three streams into its network of 44+ GDP-compliant depots across three continents, spanning every temperature range under one quality framework. The comparator was sourced, repackaged, and labeled within the same depot network carrying the IMP and ancillaries, eliminating a vendor handoff and enabling one coordinated site delivery per patient visit.
Three vendors and three points of failure became one network and one point of accountability, giving the client its simplest vendor relationship for its most complex supply chain.
