The Challenge

A large government-funded vaccine study required a fully integrated supply strategy to support approximately 130 clinical sites and an estimated 10,000 patients over a 24-month program. The program demanded coordination of cold-chain logistics, comparator sourcing, storage, distribution, secondary packaging, labeling, and kitting under a single operational framework. Compressed timelines and broad geographic distribution called for a scalable solution built for multiple workstreams at once, with no room for a fragmented, multi-vendor approach.

Our Approach

Tanner built a comprehensive supply strategy starting with project set-up across all sites, coordinating study requirements, planning, and KPI establishment, then layering in cold-chain distribution, comparator sourcing, packaging, labeling, and kitting into one unified delivery model. The framework was built to run all sites in parallel, with capacity to manage 12,000+ labeled and kitted units and coordinate 260+ shipments, giving sponsors a single point of accountability and no added coordination burden as sites came online.
